Duck - the common name for numerous species of waterfowl, any of various swimming birds in which the neck and legs are short, the feet typically webbed, the bill often broad and flat

Broodiness - behavioral tendency to sit on a clutch of eggs to incubate them

Roost - a support on which birds rest, to settle down for rest or sleep
