The Holtz Family

Our venture stemmed from a hobby garden and plethera of pets, and blossomed with the combination of our upbringing, educational and business experiences, and long term visions.

We began actively planning for our agricultural venue in 2020 after we purchased land in Churchville where we built our house & established our homestead. The pandemic made things tough on every account but it shaped exactly what we wanted and the community needed.

We spent years planning, sketching, researching and solidifying the necessary process and requirements to make it happen. In 2022, having only 5 acres in Churchville, we began actively searching for more land. With no desire to compromise, an extremely patient & dedicated realtor, no rush to move forward, a busy workload and several babies, we explored many options over the following two & a half years.

Once we finished our new build and welcomed our fourth and final human addition, we were confidently ready to move forward with our well thought out business plan.

Throughout the beginning of 2025 things fully ramped up. We added various fluffy & furry friends to our farm, planted the largest garden yet & proceeded with attempts to expand.

We ended up submitting four purchase offers on three different pieces of property, had two accepted offers, one cancelled transaction & quite a roller coaster of emotions to summarize it all.

Then finally, on our 5th wedding anniversary, May 12, 2025, we locked in a beautiful 18 acres in Bergen, NY just 10 miles from our home in Churchville!

Over the following months, we worked with the county, the health dept, our attorney, insurance agent, and engineers to get everything in order. We presented our idea to the town where we gained the necessary approvals to have our farm open to the public in Bergen!

We invested in additional equipment and learned to cut & bale hay. We began creating recreational activities and continue to add a variety of livestock to make our farm a fun place to play!

Going forward, we will be continuously growing, adding, and improving our grounds to provide many offerings. Once the driveway, parking, admission barn, septic, and utilities are completed in Bergen, we will move the animals & finally welcome you there!

In the meantime, we are happy to offer scheduled farm visits in Churchville where you can interact with the animals, purchase eggs & pumpkins, enjoy some outdoor recreational activites & learn about farm life.
