MISSION: To provide screen-free family-friendly fun for all ages, while promoting agricultural awareness. Our mission is to inspire play, encourage togetherness and foster positive social interaction.

VISION: Our vision is to create a destination where families and groups can experience the joy of farm life through engaging activities and events. We aim to offer a safe, welcoming environment that fosters meaningful connections, builds traditions, and celebrates nature.

We will have a strong focus on encouraging fun & learning through imaginative play, sensory play and active play. Guests will have the opportunity to get involved, interact with the animals and experience farm life first hand. Guests will also have the opportunity to host special events, with the flexibility to customize their experience and choose their preferred vendors.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:

  • Develop unique, farm-inspired attractions that encourage imaginative, sensory, and active play

  • Provide year-round admission, early visiting hours, favorable pricing, at an easily accessible location on the west side of Rochester

  • Promote learning about crops, livestock, and everyday farm operations through interactive experiences

  • Highlight other local small businesses

  • Provide inclusive activities for all ages and abilities.

  • Offer opportunities for the community through volunteering and internships

  • Serve as a gathering place where families and groups can create lasting memories

  • Host special events on the farm, allowing guests to bring their vision to life on our scenic property

KEY PRINCIPLES: Our core principle is to promote the benefits of outdoor play within an agricultural environment. We aim to provide opportunities for individuals of all ages to connect with nature, breathe fresh air, and engage in activities that foster positive social interaction and overall well-being. Play is essential for healthy development and supports social, physical, cognitive, and emotional growth throughout life.

  • For Children: Play encourages exploration, creativity, and problem-solving while helping them understand the world and develop essential life skills.

  • For Adults: Play reduces stress, enhances mood, strengthens social connections, and supports both mental and physical health. It also sharpens cognitive abilities, boosts

    creativity, and fosters adaptability and resourcefulness, which can lead to improved performance and productivity in daily life and work.

SENSORY PLAY

  • Activities that stimulate a child's senses - touch, sight, sound, smell, taste

  • Engagement with different textures, colors, sounds, etc. 

  • Crucial for brain development, fine and gross motor skills, language development, and problem-solving abilities

  • Helps children develop their sensory processing skills; can be both calming and stimulating

ACTIVE PLAY

  • Physical activity involving movement, often unstructured and self-directed

  • A natural and enjoyable way for children to move their bodies, develop physical skills, build confidence, boost self-esteem

IMAGINATIVE PLAY / PRETEND PLAY

  • Play that involves making up stories and using objects to represent things they're not

  • Use of imagination to create original scenarios, scripts, and characters

  • Use of creativity to imitate real life scenarios, act out roles, explore different ideas and emotions

  • Fosters creativity, social skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving abilities

SOCIAL PLAY

  • Interacting with others, learning to share, practicing communication

  • Helps children build friendships, develop a sense of belonging, learn empathy

CONSTRUCTIVE PLAY

AGRICULTURAL AWARENESS

  • Understanding the impact of agriculture and its important role in our economy
